Preflight
A successful project begins with great pre-press, and great pre-press begins with a thorough preflight.
Preflighting, being one of the most overlooked functions in all of prepress, is essential and begins with good communication between the operator and client. At Tek Solutions our prepress technicians will thoroughly prep your job and then will follow up to call and discuss the project directly with you confirming any and all details of the project at hand. We will check for File Accuracy, Copy Correctness, Barcode Scanability, Color Separations and overall file compatibility and quality.
Tek Prep (Pre-press)
We call it “Tek Prep” because of the unique way we approach the job, paired with our extensive printing and manufacturing knowledge. We will discuss with you the most effective and efficient way to manufacture your project and then develop the pre-press accordingly. Once the files have been prepared for output we “Q.A.” the separations to ensure file accuracy and correctness.
Packaging / Labels
We feel that to successfully prep final print files for labels & packaging you must have a broad understanding of substrates, manufacturing and finishing. Not only do we have that understanding, but also a staff with years of hands-on experience. With state of the art software and equipment, our goal is to exceed all your Pre-press Packaging & Label expectations.
Shrink Film
With shrink film becoming more in-demand it is crucial to have the project successfully prepped the first time. While we have tried all the latest software & plugins for shrink film on the market, we still believe, at least when it comes to shrink, the only way to prep the job accurately is through a tedious grid system. If you do not have a grid we will supply you a grid to shrink over your project. Once we receive the grid we will begin to measure the distortion and plug the numbers in the corresponding sections. It’s with this approach that we have been successful in prepping a various number of intricate shrink film projects.
