Scope: Flexible Package Design

A start-up business, Bone Appétit Pet Foods, needed a friendly looking, low-cost design for a flexible package of homemade Doggie Treats. They wanted something that conveyed the idea of a hungry dog, looking imploringly at the customer, begging for a tasty treat.

The client emphasized wanting an uncluttered package design; no extraneous bullet-points, or distracting effects. They wanted to Keep It Simple, and they were on a budget. The only stipulations were to have the dog (preferably a Pug) looking to get a treat, and to make sure we added the word “Homemade” and a “Made in the USA” icon.

Result: Sometimes the very best thing is to give the client exactly what they want, with no extra bells or whistles. They were pleased with the design and have been successfully selling their homemade treats to doggies in their shoppe, no bones about it.
