Label Design: Sandcastle Winery

Our in-house design team is comprised of professional graphic designers, marketing specialists and project managers.

Who will help you create an original, high-quality label from scratch.

Client: Sandcastle Winery

Scope: Line-wide Label Design

Sandcastle Winery, a Pennsylvania vineyard and winery, was looking for label designs for their new line of Sweet, and Dry varieties of Vermouth.

The catch was, they wanted something that was both, familiar to their original label design, such as keeping the color scheme, yet completely new and different.

Should these designs be received favorably, we would then be tasked with incorporating a similar aspect into their full line of wines.

Our designers were more than up to the task.

Customer Needs

Develop a bold, yet tasteful, new design – which still retained the flavor of their old label.

Create a design that could, at least in part, be adapted for their full line of product.

Tek Solutions

We began by “tasting” their old label designs as a connoisseur would a fine wine; detecting the various design ingredients that went into its production. We then determined what made the overall body of the label work, and began to blend our own flavor into it.

We modernized their sandcastle logo and enhanced it by utilizing it as a die-cut shape, a bold castle, rising upward. We then accentuated the label with foil accents in the fonts, and grounded the whole design with a base which showcased their vineyards.

Result:  Not only was the client happy with the new label design, utilizing it for their new line of Vermouth, but they then asked us for a line-wide redesign for a their full list of wines.
